FAQs
How long does the process take?
Because there are several dependencies (like, how long does it take to get signatures, return documents, etc) it is impossible to say exactly. The process is similar to opening an account at at an investment brokerage custodian. On average, Entrust will take 24 hours to open an account. All initial deposits are subject to a 3 day hold.
Can I transfer assets other than cash to fund an account?
No. Our current preferred custodian, Entrust Arizona, only accepts funds via check, or bank wire. If existing positions are going to fund this account, they must be liquidated first.
How do I know when my metals order arrives?
Delaware Depository will notify Entrust Arizona when shipments are received. Entrust then updates your account statement. Scottsdale Silver generally ships most orders out of inventory and averages a 3-4 day turnaround time. Larger orders may take longer as they are shipped fresh from the mint.
How do I sell my holdings?
You can sell your holdings to any other individual or sell them to the precious metals dealer of your choice.
What fees do you charge?
We don’t charge you any fees. We are a marketing organization exclusively for Scottsdale Silver & Gold, LLC and our fees are paid entirely by them.
Are there any other fees?
There are nominal fees set by Entrust Arizona, and by Delaware Depository. See their fee schedules for more information.
